Tonight our U14 girls Div 5 team played away v Bective in their second league game & enjoyed their second win.
Bective started out strongly and took an early lead but once Royal Gaels settled in, they never let up.In dull & damp conditions, every player gave 100%, working hard individually and as a team. They displayed excellent passing & retained possession very effectively leading to some great scores with 9 of the 14 Royal Gaels players scoring from play.
The half time score was 2-9 to 0-3. The Bective team came out strongly in the second half scoring 1-4 in close succession. It was a tense game with great football but Royal Gaels rallied with 11 points in the second half.The girls have been working on scoring with both feet and really rose to the challenge successfully in this game.
