On a bitterly cold but sunny Saturday, following the passing of Storm Darragh, the U1 9 Division 3 Final between
Dunshaughlin and Na Fianna took place.
Final destination: Dunshaughlin. Both teams, known for their black and amber colours, donned their alternate kits, with Dunshaughlin sporting their lucky 1886-inspired red jersey, a tribute to their guiding light, much like the North star
The teams also battled the lingering gusts of Storm Darragh throughout the match. Dunshaughlin, playing with the wind advantage in the first half, surged ahead with a 5-0 lead after 20 minutes. The challenging conditions made freeflowing football difficult, but Dunshaughlin managed to edge out scoring opportunities. Na Fianna fought hard and managed to register a point before halftime.
