The club are currently in the process of the biggest and most significant development in its history. In 2010, work commenced on the new Astro Turf and full sized sand based pitch which was initially funded by the club’s cash reserves of roughly €265,000. Recently the club has acquired a loan of €300,000 in order to fund the remainder of Phase 1 development. The current loan of €300,000 is fixed @ 4.7% for 15 years resulting in annual repayments of €28,000
THEREFORE THE CLUB MUST RAISE IN EXCESS OF €28,000 EVERY YEAR TO SERVICE THE DEBT
Requirement of 2/3 major fundraising events to account for this, while weekly lotto caters for the day-to-day running of the club. A second loan will be required in the coming years to complete Phase 2 – this will be additional to the Phase 1 loan and a separate fundraising plan will be required to fund this. A number of new fundraising initiatives have been undertaken by the club in recent years.
