Our Nursery returns on Friday 12th April 2024 catering for children born in 2018, 2019 and our newest recruits, children born in 2020.
All communication with parents is managed through the Spond app. Anyone can join this group by using the link. An administrator must approve new membership requests before the members get access to the group
Nursery Spond GroupOur Nursery provides a series of fun-based exercises to develop movement and motor skills for children aged 4 to 6 years old.
These skills form the basis for the later development of the specific skills of Gaelic Football.
The level of competency with which one can perform these skills is referred to as their Level of Physical Literacy.
Fundamental Movement and Basic Motor Skills are developed in the early years of physical development to provide the basis for all further movement and motor development.
The Nursery programme focuses on fundamental movement skills including Crawling, Rolling, Agility, Balance, Coordination, Running and Jumping skills. Over the coming months we will focus on basic motor skills including Throwing, Catching and Passing, Kicking and Striking skills and on the player’s ability to play with and manipulate a ball.
You can find us in Dunshaughlin and Royal Gaels GAA grounds on the Drumree Road every Friday evening from 6p to 7pm
Need a map, that’s okay, we’ve got one here
